Wedding checklist – when you return from your honeymoon

When you return from your honeymoon

After you return from your honeymoon, there will still be a few things to consider.  In this 3 part series, you’ll be able to read up on my wedding checklist. It covers some of the key things you may need to take into account in the lead up to and soon after your wedding. This includes:

Things to do

Collect your couple’s Certificate of Marriage from your celebrant or nominated family member if you have not already done so.

Open gifts if you have not already done so and send thank you notes to all your guests.

Unless your celebrant has arranged this, order your standard and/or commemorative Certificate of Marriage from Births, Deaths & Marriages (if you choose to purchase these.)

Start the process of legally changing your name (if relevant.) This will include things like your passport, credit cards, driver licence, Medicare etc.

Consult your contract regarding the timeline for receiving your wedding photos/video. Make arrangements to meet with your photographer/videographer to view them.

Enjoy married life!

The key to relaxing (for the most part) at this special time in your life is to plan ahead, delegate certain tasks so you’re not overwhelmed yourself and to embrace the moment. If you work out what’s important to you and read through my checklists, you’ll have a great head start!
